Here is my experience:

The wine tasting section has an exquisite outside area underneath large trees and umbrellas. This area overlooks the lake so you can sit and relax whilst listening to the wind, water and birds.jordan-wines-tasting-area-outdoorsjordan-wines-outside-areaThere are many options to try at Jordan ranging from picnics, wine tasting, cellar tours, a restaurant and even a vineyard safari. You can choose to taste any 3 wines for R30 or any 6 wines for R50.Cheese platters are also available at R180. Definitely a farm that you can spend the entire day at.jordan-wines-wine-tasting-area-for-allThis is the inside area which is small and intimate.jordan-inside-tasting-areajordan-wines-selectionThe Jordan Chameleon Dry Rosé is 50% Merlot and 50% Syrah. It has spent quite a good time in contact with the skins before the free run juice is used. That is why you get such a deep vibrant cherry pink colour. It is probably the darkest Rosé I have ever seen. On the palate, this wine had depth with strong acidity resembling Strawberries and dried cranberries, yet it also had a delicate spiciness. Can you imagine this wine with flash fried prawns overlooking the ocean. WOW!For only R63 a bottle, you could enjoy this wine for any occasion. The Jordan Chameleon range of wines has quite an interesting purpose. All proceeds from the wine are donated towards PhD students. This will have a huge conservation benefit for the Cape Dwarf Chameleon.jordan-wines-chameleon-rose-winesAn ice cold one! The Jordan Sauvignon Blanc 2015 was light and refreshing yet it also had depth of flavour resembling a "herby" aftertaste. Is that even a word? 😄On the nose you can definitely pick up ripe fig flavours. It wasn’t sharp at all. In fact it tasted like an unwooded Chardonnay to me.The colour is quite yellow and turns green when the sunlight shines on it. R100 a bottle.jordan-wines-sauvignon-blanc-with-handThe Barrel fermented Chardonnay 2015 is R145 a bottle. 3.9g/l sugar and 13.5% alcohol. It is a fantastic bold Chardonnay, not too woody but rather quite lemony. The wine spent 9 months in French Oak barrels and then it was blended with 8% tank fermented Chardonnay to balance the wine with a fruity twist.I could clearly smell lemons and oranges with a biscuit undertone. R145 a bottle.jordan-wines-chardonnayThe Jordan Outlier Sauvignon Blanc pictured below is barrel fermented which gives this wine a full mouth feel. The grapes received 6-10 hours skin contact and then 8 months in the barrels. 40% tank-fermented sauvignon blanc was added to the blend to add to the fruitiness.2.1g/l sugar and 13% alcohol makes it light enough to enjoy with vegetarian meals or even sushi.R115 a bottle.jordan-wines-the-outlierI really enjoyed this delicious steak at the Bakery at Jordan which paired incredibly well with the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon  😍👌This wine has won an American Express Trophy for the best Cabernet Sauvignon at the Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show 2014 (2011) Gold Medal at the 2013 Veritas Awards (2010) and 90 points in the Wine Enthusiast, July 2014 Issue (2009).18 months in French oak barrels, it is full bodied with soft tannins. Fruity ripe berries yet hints of peppery undertones. R140 a bottle.jordan-wines-the-bakery-at-jordan-steakCheers ladies!the-bakery-at-jordan-two-ladies-drinking-wineWhat I really love about Jordan is that you can book a cellar tour! Their cellar is really modern and quite big! For just R100 per person, you can taste 6 wines out of the classic wine tasting menu (Chameleon range) plus get a cellar tour which lasts 45 minutes. You can even book a Land Rover safari for R350 per person and view the beautiful views of False bay and Table Bay from the top of the vineyard hill. You should definitely book beforehand to avoid any disappointment. What a great experience!jordan-wine-cellar-walkingThere were so many of them! Rooms and rooms full of barrels! <3jordan-wine-barrels-in-a-rowEven ones sitting in the dark. Look how neat and new the barrels are.jordan-wines-cellar-tourJordan is also extremely modern in their wine making with the latest technologies and have beautifully clean, stainless steel tanks.jordan-wines-cellar-modern jordan-cellar-tour-tanksjordan-wine-tanks-girl-with-red-lipstick

I had such a relaxing afternoon at Jordan sitting under the trees, sipping on some Rosé and looking out onto the lake and mountains. Bliss!

This is the picnic area. The picnic menu is the same as the restaurant menu, only you can sit on the grass :)

We ended up buying some Cabernet Sauvignon as it was my favourite of the day.
