This Restaurant Special in Cape Town Had Me at Bottomless Bubbly
The Pot Luck Club has just announced a restaurant special you cannot miss, including bottomless bubbly! Yes! Bottomless! You may wonder just how much bubbly you can have for a special winter brunch. Well, let me tell you, there are 10 courses, so you will be sipping all afternoon long!
A 10-course brunch? Yes, Chef!
Led by acclaimed Executive Chef Jason Kosmas and his talented team, The Pot Luck Club has earned its place among the top dining destinations in Cape Town. The restaurant has received numerous awards, including a spot on the prestigious Eat Out Top 10 Restaurants list. He’s what he had to say…
“We’re thrilled to offer our loyal diners a comprehensive experience of our legendary Sunday brunch at The Pot Luck Club including all the trimmings! Our Sunday Brunch is always served as a set menu of 10 courses, designed to deliver a completely unique Pot Luck experience. We aim to make Sunday late mornings a delightful anticipation where guests can relax and let us take care of their culinary choices!”
The Pot Luck Club offers a menu that combines bold flavours, fresh ingredients, and artistic presentation, making it a restaurant special of choice for food enthusiasts and casual diners alike.
A Restaurant Special Drink of Choice
For those not sold on bottomless bubbly, you can choose between bubbles or a Bloody Mary. They’ve got Boschendal’s elegant Brut and Rosé Cap Classique. Prefer vodka? The Pot Luck Club’s Bloody Mary station is a must-try. With a secret tomato base recipe, you can personalise your drink with house-infused vodkas and various spices and flavourings, including Worcestershire pearls, bacon swizzle sticks, cucumber, and celery. Now that’s a restaurant special delight!
A Decadent Menu
The Sunday Brunch Winter Extravaganza kicks off with West Coast oysters, freshly shucked and dressed with Kosmas’ weekly creation, delivering a burst of happiness to start your day. This is followed by a series of snack-sized courses designed to tantalise your taste buds.
Menu Highlights:
Buttery Brioche with Quail Egg: Porcini hollandaise and mushroom duxelles.
Lavish English Muffin: Topped with lobster, kohlrabi, peas, and cauliflower.
Curry Lamb Shank Taco: Served with parsnip cream and mint salsa.
One standout dish of this restaurant special is the ‘Arnold Bennett’ open omelette, a classic given a Pot Luck twist with smoked haddock. Next, enjoy a fresh and seasonal ‘Salad’ course featuring ingredients sourced from local markets. The hearty main course often stars duck served family-style with sides like beetroot tarte tatin and roast vegetables.
Brunch wraps up with a pre-dessert of baked goodies from the pastry kitchen, followed by a light, often fruity dessert to cleanse the palate and cap off a decadent day.
Popular and in High Demand
With fully booked tables throughout the past summer, it’s clear that locals in the know agree. Add in the lively tunes of a live jazz band and a restaurant special you cannot refuse you will get to experience the best Sunday Brunch in town.
