The Nederburg Dinner of Discovery Series Takes Blind Tasting to a New Level!

Nederburg Wines is probably the most loved South African winery and it’s hitting the road with the Nederburg Dinner of Discovery series. After having recently experienced this myself at The Manor in Paarl I’m super excited to say that they're bringing this unique experience to cities and towns all over Mzansi. Here's what you can look forward to this winter:

Let me tell you, Nederburg's Brand Manager, Marguerite Beukes, is over the moon about this expansion: "For the second year in a row, we hosted our Dinner of Discovery Series in Tshwane, and we had sold-out dinners each time. Now, we're thrilled to go national, sharing our delicious wines and the talents of our team in some of our favourite spots around South Africa."

What's in Store: Wine-and-Dine and Sensory Magic

Classic Wine-and-Dines

If you love wine and good food (and who doesn't?), the classic "wine-and-dines" are perfect for you. You'll get to taste a variety of Nederburg's fantastic wines, from the bold Cabernet Sauvignon to the refreshing Grenache Carignan Rosé. These wines are paired with mouth-watering dishes from partner restaurants. It's an experience you don't want to miss if you enjoy a great meal with top-notch wine.

A Blind Tasting Like No Other

For those looking for something a bit different, Nederburg's sensory experiences are a real treat. These dinners, available at The Manor in Paarl and select other venues, are all about heightening your senses. Picture this: tasting wines blindfolded and eating some dishes in the dark. The focus is on the aromas, textures, and flavours. And to add to the fun, some courses are served with a constantly changing sound. It's a wild ride for your senses and a night you won't forget. Be sure to bring your best singing voices and gees!

Meet the Nederburg Crew

Throughout the roadshow, you'll get to meet the talented Nederburg team. Up until November, they'll be there to share their passion and knowledge. Here are some of the stars you can look forward to meeting:

  • Michael van Deventer, wine maturation specialist, will lead the "Journey through the Vault" dinners in August.

  • Jamie Williams, the white winemaker, kicked things off at The Manor in Paarl in June.
