Sauvignon Blanc Day with Place in the Sun Wines

International Sauvignon Blanc day is the first Friday of May, which also happens to be my birthday :) I reviewed Place in the Sun Wines Sauvignon Blanc 2016.

When reviewing wine, I like to rate it on:

Colour (out of 3)Smell (out of 7)And taste (out of 10)So the taste has the most weighting. It is also very seldom that I rate a wine less than 3/3 for colour.Bottle:The bottle looks so fresh and I really loved the gold foil sun graphic. It is a screw cap like most Sauvignon Blancs on the market. What I liked about this wine is that it is a Fairtrade farm.  Fairtrade is an ethical certification whose main aim is to promote more equality and sustainability in the farming sector.Colour:The colour was very light and elegant. 3/3Smell:Lots of passion fruit! 5.3/7Taste:A great taste of pineapple that is very well balanced. Dry with good acidity. Extremely refreshing! 8.4/10Total is: 16.7/20. I did not try it with food but it would pair perfectly with most salads and cream free pastas.Cheers guys!So which wine will I review next? 🙂
