Lanzerac have just renovated their spa and hotel rooms and it's fabulous! Here's why...

GREAT TREATMENTS!

Lanzerac Spa has numerous treatments available at good prices. CLICK HERE to view the menu.I just loved the full body Aromatherapy massage - 60 minute at only R720.They even have a bridal package option! Hint, hint to my future husband! lol ;)The foot massages and pedicures are done overlooking vineyards. The venue is well air conditioned and relaxing music is played during treatments.

HYDRO ALL THE WAY!

Book a treatment and you can enjoy the hydro facilities! There are so many to choose from including an indoor, heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi, steam room, mist room and sauna. And in case you are feeling a little dehydrated, there is always plenty of water on tap for you to drink. The fresh flowers were a nice touch too.

WINE BAR!

Yes, yes, no spa day is complete without some bubbles! Their spa has a bar area so you can literally sip on MCC the whole day.Lanzerac has a 100% Chardonnay MCC which is divine! It is a Blanc de Blancs Brut for R195 a bottle. It is made from Chardonnay grapes and spent 12 months on the lees in the bottle before traditional disgorgement. It has great light flavours of biscuits and green apples but also quite creamy with vibrant bubbles.

VIEWS, VIEWS AND MORE VIEWS!

Views like this are hard to come by. So in between treatments, relax on the stoep overlooking the vineyards.

FEELING ENERGETIC?

If you are feeling like you need to get a bit active, there is a gym too but I certainly didn't feel the need to :)

LOCK IT ALL UP

Their change rooms are well equipped with electronic lockers, fresh towels and even wine themed soaps! There wasn't much body lotion knocking around but perhaps you should just buy the oils at R750 a pop. I would have liked to see a hairdryer, perfume/body spray and a plastic bag to put your costume into.

FRIENDLY SERVICE

The ladies were a little shy but extremely friendly and professional. After each treatment, you are given water as well as a lemon grass chocolate.

BEAUTIFUL SUNSETS

Catch the sunset, it is incredible!

5-STAR HOTEL

After all of these treatments, you will feel like a relaxing nap and some food! So check into the hotel. It's around R2500 per person per night, which is not bad given the luxurious nature of the hotel.Fresh flowers run through the entire establishment which is a very nice touch. Each room is decorated with special furniture sourced from antique stores. Plus, even though it looks antique, it is pretty high tech with USB sockets to plug cell phones, wifi etc.The bathrooms are pretty luxurious too. There is of course also a swimming pool should you feel the need to cool off.

AMAZING FOOD!

The restaurant has incredible meals. CLICK HERE to view the menu. Starters are around R100 and mains are around R200.This bar is the original from all those years ago. The farm was established way back in 1692 and bought over in 1914 by Mrs. English who named the farm Lanzerac. The decor is busy being updated (new carpets etc) but I think it looks pretty spectacular as it is now. If it gets any better, I will definitely need to go again. This is the inside area:This is the outside area. The Esquire turns into a cigar lounge at night and they play sports games on the TV screens here. I opted for the Fynbos honey glazed pork belly with creamy mash, grilled corn salad, tomatos, coriander, rind crisp and apple gel for R185. Followed by a deconstructed Lemon Meringue, with Balsamic Marinated Strawberries, Mint Yoghurt Spheres & Butter Biscuit Crumble for R70.This is the milk tart option!paired with Lanzerac 2014 Pinotage. I absolutely loved it and you will too!Cheers!
