Meet 103 of 800! La Petite Dauphine in Fanschhoek. I had the pleasure of enjoying wine tasting, accommodation and breakfast at this absolutely romantically luxurious estate!
La Petite Dauphine Estate is quite close to the Franschhoek Monument and is a beautiful place to grab breakfast, coffee and cake, lunch and of course wine tasting.
Their wines aren't anything major to rave about. Enjoy 3 wines of your choice for R16 a per tasting per glass.
The wine tasting area is quite small although not uncomfortable and there is actually more wines than their own to enjoy.
Definitely the best part about this wine estate is that it is actually a hotel, so you can enjoy wine tasting just about anywhere on the grounds. I would highly recommend starting off with breakfast and then moving onto the wine tasting. If the afternoon is more your thing, then why not start off with wine tasting and then end off with lunch and one of their delicious cakes.
If you are lucky enough to stay the night then you are in for a treat, because it doesn't come cheap! This two-bedroom suite below will set you back about R10 800 a night. It is an absolute luxury, boasting all the 5-star amenities you could hope for.
In the morning enjoy a gourmet breakfast in a beautiful, French setting. There is so much to love about Franschhoek. I had a great stay!
